Second Annual Arts Botanica Exhibit to be Unveiled Tonight at LUMA

What:
Join LUMA for a fun, flower-themed opening night reception to celebrate the return of the popular Arts Botanica exhibition, a special weeklong exhibition featuring the work of contemporary Chicago artists and some of the city's most creative florists.

Local florists have created living floral compositions inspired by original artwork from the show's participating artists. In creating their unique floral arrangements and installations, the florists have based their botanical subject matter on a number of contemporary art pieces including paintings, sculptures, videos, and fashion design.

When:
Friday, June 1, 2007
6 - 8 p.m.

Where:
春风视频Museum of Art
820 North Michigan Avenue (Across the street from Water Tower Park)
Chicago, IL 60611

Why:
Using eye-catching floral creations to make contemporary art come to life, Arts Botanica provides attendees, and more importantly, your cameras, a stunning visual. Carefully blending art and flora, Arts Botanica is the perfect exhibit to coincide with springtime in Chicago.

Arts Botanica is partially supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency.
